It's a miracle!

I'm updating my blog!!!  I'm at McDonalds in my car stealing their WIFI!  Ha Ha. (we bought some coke and pies...  so don't tell on me)  I only have internet on my phone so blogging has been a challenge!  So today I will post a few pictures, if nobody reads this it's ok... considering I haven't posted in like a year! :)

Obviously I have tons more pictures but It took so long to upload these that I'll just have to go on and update those in oooo, maybe another year.  Ha Ha!  :)  Just kidding, I'll try not to wait that long.  :)

Cabinets!

Well we are moving right along!  Our cabinets are installed.  Elijah and I were able to install them ourselves without any problems.  Yay.  We also hung the microwave and able to place the stove.  The fridge is something I will not attempt to move into place, so we will have to wait until Elijah has a few guys there to help him.   Right now we are *unfortunately* waiting on our counter tops.  Those wont' be here for another week or so.

This will be our island and the counter for that is also on backorder, so we will be waiting another week or so for that one too.

And our table is finished, it is gorgeous and a beautiful addition to our home!  :)

So I guess for now Elijah is just finishing up little things like our mailbox and the electrical work.  The trim should be delivered tomorrow and our doors hopefully in about 2 weeks!  Then it's moving in time.  I hope!;-)

FLoors are done!!!!!! Yay!

Boys bathroom.  For some reason no matter how I upload this picture it keeps putting it on sideways, so I say forget it, twist your head, if you really want to see it. ;-)

Girls bathroom

This is the girls bedroom... just happens to be the pic I have on my phone,it wasn't finished yet, but it is now.

This is part of the living room.  It is absolutely beautiful.  Well, I think so anyways.  I told my friend that it's one of those floors that's an odd color and either you love it or hate it.  I personally love it because it can flow with our *rustic* theme we are wanting to have throughout the house.  Can't wait to get moved in.

We also have had a lot of things done outside and little things that needed to be done that are important but not significant enough to *see*.  We had lights installed outside and our driveway poured and our walkway and steps into the front door poured.  I will try to take pictures of those soon.

Next week we have the carpet coming in to the basement, plumbing finished up and cabinets getting installed... Oh and I can't forget to mention that our wonderful family, well not just family but sweet friends and soon to be neighbors- Dale and Teresa from over at Simply Farmhouse blog should have our Big FarmHouse table finished soon,if it's not already done!

So many more updates coming soon!!!!  :)  Thanks for stopping by.  Leave me a comment, I love comments to know you've been here.

We are making progress

Well we got our bathroom sinks at the house ready to install

and our fridge all wrapped up to get painting done

We started painting in the middle of an ice storm one night... luckily we brought along enough toys to keep the kids occupied.  Unfortunately theres no plumbing right now, so we had to run out in the storm to use restrooms and get snacks, we had quite the night. ;)

But through it all we got our walls painted, and our light fixtures up.
The finished walls... :)  This is looking into the laundry room and to the left you go down the stairs, and to the right is our pantry.
By the front doors... The color turned out nice.  Cant wait to get some more pics to share. :)

Right now we are working on floors and floors and more floors. Carpet should be installed soon too.  It seems like we are finally getting somewhere, I will post more pictures as it comes along.  :-)

New House Part 4: Roofing and Siding

I know I haven't posted in a few weeks, so I figured I'd catch you all up on what has been happening over here. :)

Well we got roofed!!!  :-D

My laundry room/mud room/side door

Master bath tub installed

Elijah and Bro Andrew have been working hard installing the electric

And today Elijah texted me this picture and I couldn't be happier with our choice for a siding color, it's beautiful!!!

Elijah is at the house most nights working.  On occasion I come out and work.  Yesterday I took Jamin, Weston, Montana, Makena, Colton, and Lawsen and we burned a huge pile of garbage... Today Montana used the scraps of wood to make a tree house!  He has an awesome imagination!

Well there you have it!  Hopefully we will be making more progress soon and I will have more exciting updates for you all!

New House Part 3 - Framing

Well, according to my blog the whole process of building our house has taken mere minutes... but in reality it has taken a couple of months. ;-)  We broke ground in August, and now at the beginning of October the framing is almost done.  Here are the lastest pictures!

This is the front of the house... just a disclaimer, no it's not huge or anything. ;-) ;-)

And if you are standing inside, this is also looking at the front of the house.  To the corner the master room will be framed out, and where the big windows are is our living room.

Here will be our side entrance, probably the main entrance for us.  It will take you right into our mudroom, which will also double as our laundry room.  On the right will be sliding doors right in our dining room, which will eventually lead out to a deck or patio.

This is the inside view of that same corner, where the mud room and the stairway to the basement will be.

This is the opposite end of the house where the kids bedrooms and baths will be.

So this is where we are at right now.  Hopefully soon we will have a roof and from there things happen so fast!!!!  We were a little back ordered on the trusses but things are falling into place so hopefully we will have a steady working pace from now on, without any problems.

New House Part 2 - Basement Walls

Yay, we have walls!!!!

This is not the greatest of pictures... because you can't exactly see the basement, but it's the only one we have before the framing started. :)
